The cost effective tie monitor and alert notification system - LinkAlertPC (LAPC) fundament monitor staple TCP / IP, Internet HTTP based servers / pages / urls, Email, FTP, LAN connections, Printers, Services, Stocks and Local devices. Links that neglect or become unavailable induction an alert which generates one or more notifications. LAPC offers several forms of alert notification - Dialogs, Sound, Email, Custom Logging, Phone and Application execution. Features: Link types - Disk, Email, File, Folder, TCP / IP, Ftp, Http, Https, Printer, Service, Stock - include UNC (Universal Naming Code) and user authentication support: Actions - Status, Free Space, Open Read / Write, Connection, Ping, Loopback, File Send / Recv / Content - are interval (frequency) driven, time-out based and include Retry / Recall support. Alerts are Bi-state and available On Fail and / or Reset. Types include 'Application' (invokes a user selected programme), 'Audio' (plays a user selected levelheaded file), 'Email' (sends user message), 'Log file' (customised log relating to a specific tie), 'Phone' (dispatches prerecorded wav formatted messages) and 'Visual' (popup title and message based dialog). Logs and Reports track and record entirely events relating to each tie. Support is provided for both regular flow based ASCII (CR / LF) terminated text and Excel compatible CSV formats. In gain MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) per tie is available as is undivided alert tracking. A friendly interface consisting of measure MS windows and controls renders links easy to configure and keep. Tools include Drive Mapping / Unmapping, SNTP Time synchronization, Printer configuration, IP Host resolution, Trace Route, Service viewer and Stock Watch. Extensive event insure includes Start, Stop and Resume monitoring of one or entirely links. A Test facility allows discovery and error correction prior to implementation.
